With 2010 being the Centennial Celebration for one-hundred years of the University of Southern Mississippi, it's time to look back on some of the accomplishments of the athletic programs. To think that the first football game was played in Kamper Park down Hardy street in Hattiesburg, MS. The pickup game was played between the Mississippi Normal College Normalites and the Hattiesburg Boy Scouts. Mississippi Normal won the game 30-0. Granted times were very different back in 1912, so a college team defeating a bunch of boyscouts was probably a lot more challenging than what it initially sounds like. Since then there have been multiple accomplishments by the college that even the average student wouldn't realize. The football program is the most storied because of societies' gradual change from baseball being America's past time to football. The program was at its highest point with its victory against Colorado St. in the Autozone Liberty Bowl in 1999. Since then there have been seven consecutive winning seasons, multiple bowl appearances, and over one-hundred players drafted into the NFL. Some of the most notable players have been Brett Favre, Ray Guy, and Adalius Thomas. Favre is the only player to receive the honor of NFL MVP three years in a row. Guy is the only punter to ever be drafted in the first round in league history. Thomas was a sixth round draft pick with the Baltimore Ravens who became an instant starter and perennial Pro Bowler. With 2010 being the Centennial Celebration for one-hundred years of the University of Southern Mississippi, it's time to look back on some of the accomplishments of the athletic programs. To think that the first football game was played in Kamper Park down Hardy street in Hattiesburg, MS. The pickup game was played between the Mississippi Normal College Normalites and the Hattiesburg Boy Scouts. Mississippi Normal won the game 30-0. Granted times were very different back in 1912, so a college team defeating a bunch of boyscouts was probably a lot more challenging than what it initially sounds like. Since then there have been multiple accomplishments by the college that even the average student wouldn't realize. The football program is the most storied because of societies' gradual change from baseball being America's past time to football. The program was at its highest point with its victory against Colorado St. in the Autozone Liberty Bowl in 1999. Since then there have been seven consecutive winning seasons, multiple bowl appearances, and over one-hundred players drafted into the NFL. Some of the most notable players have been Brett Favre, Ray Guy, and Adalius Thomas. Favre is the only player to receive the honor of NFL MVP three years in a row. There are many great mesos-making quests inside MapleStory. Some quests can make you more mesos while some lesser mesos.
This is one quest that we can possibly recommend to you while you are still a relatively low level character in the MapleStory game.
Quest name: Luke the Security Guy
Location: Victoria Island (in front of the Dungeon)
Level Required: 15
This quest tends to be easier for Mages and Archers since they have better accuracy at lower levels. Also, in order to complete this quest, you have to hit Jr. Necki's which hit a lot of damage. So the further you are away from them, the better. This quest is recommended for Magicians and Bowmen.
First, go to the front entrance of the Dungeon. Hopefully you still remember how to get there from the time you went to Sleepywood.
Talk to Luke the Security Guy about the quest. He is going to tell you that you need to collect 100 Jr. Necki skin, a bowl of salad and 10 stirge wings. Do the Jr. Necki skin first and rake up some EXP killing them. You can get there either by going into the dungeon or going left on your screen until you find a swamp zone or subway.
I preferred to go to Kerning City where I can first kill Jr Necki's in the subway. You get good EXP from them and the skins drop frequently. It took me 150 kills to collect all 100 skins. Next, in the subway, you will find Stirge's. These are bats. Kill 10 bats and collect their wings. (At this time, if you are level 20, you can also be doing Shumi's coin quest.)
The last thing you will need is the bowl of salad. You can carefully run through the dungeon continually going left or down until you reach a mobile shop where they sell bowls of salad. Or you can find bowls of salad at the free market for less than $1500 mesos.
Once you finish this quest, run back to Luke and give him his items.
How do you make money off this quest?
1. The Reward: You will be rewarded with a refined Garnet, Amethyst, Aquamarine, Emerald, Sapphire, Topaz, or even a Diamond ore.
2. Depending on what you get, you can make a ton of money. A refined Diamond can sell for over $80,000, Sapphires for $40,000-$60,000. The rest can fetch you at the very least $20,000.
This is considered great money for a level 15 character.
